One week in China

We have been in China for a week now and Ellie Ruth has been with us for just 6 days. 6 days... She feels such a part of my life that I can hardly believe it has only been 6 days.

Her smile warms my heart.

Her laughter brings joy to my life.

Her sweet personality completes me.

With just another 6 days before we are home in Alabama, we plan to visit the Safari Park, the Pearl Market, and ride the subway.

INTRODUCING ELLIE RUTH BUCKELEW

I have just a moment but want to post that we completed the adoption today and Ellie Ruth is now staying with us. She did cry and grieved for her friends and nanny.

WE ARE IN CHINA!!!

We are finally here at the Victory hotel in Guangzhou. The trip was very smooth except for the
extremely long flight from Detroit to Japan...13 hours... When we arrived in Hong Kong last night at 1pm (Hong Kong time) we were so tired. The train ride from HK to Guangzhou was very relaxing.
Our guide meet us outside the train station and arranged transportation to the hotel. The hotel is very nice. The guide gave us our schedule for the trip and we will meet Ellie Ruth Monday morning at 10am. I am very nervous...excited.....happy.....

I will post pictures after tomorrow!

Tomorrow we leave for China!

Our flight leaves at 6:05am Friday morning and we will arrive in Hong Kong Saturday night around midnight. Very nervous about the flight.... trying not to think about it too much. I am meeting Ellie Ruth's teacher this morning. I am hoping she will let me take a picture of her so I can show Ellie. We received updated pictures of Ellie Ruth on Thanksgiving. She is sooo beautiful.
